Pilar Anguita-MacKay graduated with honors in screenwriting from the University of Southern California (USC) and trained as a mentor at the European program North by Northwest, Denmark.

She has taught at USC, the Catholic University of Chile and Seven Samurai, Denmark, among others. She currently teaches at FOCAL and the Université Populaire de Lausanne.
