The three young siblings Constance, Elise and Xavier gather at their terminally ill mother's bedside after years of separation. Divided by the traumatic childhood memory of their father's untimely death, each has carried with them a different personal view of what really happened, who was or wasn't to blame. Since that fateful day, the life of each sibling has been shaped by the shadow of that personal memory and made them into the characters they are today. While Constance remains loyal and loving to her mother, Elise is still bitter as she believes the mother's cruelty was behind the accident that caused the father's death. Xavier has spent his life in quiet turmoil blaming himself.
