Workshops in writing for narrative film and television based on written assignments and breakdown of selected films with the goal of applying the elements of great film storytelling to your work. 7 participants maximum.

The 7-Day structure can be completed over a period of 3 weeks. Alternative arrangements can be made on request.

7-Day Workshop "Basics"

This course introduces the essential elements of screenwriting through work on dramatic scenes, story patterns and short outlines ultimately leading to the writing and rewriting of an original short screenplay.

7-day Workshop 'Short-to-Length'

This course requires the participant to have an outline or treatment of a feature-length screenplay submitted as the bases of acceptance to the workshop. After rewriting the outline based on character motivation and Aristotelian three-act structure, you will write a step-outline, leaving the course with a detailed guideline for writing the feature script.

7-Day Workshop 'Advance'

This course assumes a basic knowledge of what a dramatic scene is and how to create meaningful cinematic moments on the page. Participants must submit a draft of a feature screenplay prior to acceptance to the workshop. You will be given assignments and rewriting work designed to master the writing of dramatic scenes
