You write. You rewrite. You start over. The structure isn't holding, the big picture disappears, you get lost, discouragement sets in, and you abandon your project.
It's not that you lack talent. It's that you're working without method, without direction, with no way of knowing whether your project, and all your effort, will ever catch the eye of a producer or a funding body.
For a director, writing your own script isn't a calling. It's a necessity. And no one gave you the tools to do it.

Not a course. Not a script report. A conversation from writer to director. We work on your project, your story, your characters, your structure.
The mentorship rests on two pillars :
1. Which story to tell : theme, characters, emotional arc. Finding the theme at the heart of your film, and building characters who are believable, moving, with a voice of their own. Characters who carry the theme you're exploring.
2. How to tell it : structure, point of view. Telling your story so it creates exactly the emotion you want the audience to feel, at maximum intensity. The tools of storytelling.
By the end, you'll have a solid, structured, defensible treatment or screenplay, ready to bring to a producer or submit to a funding body.
And above all: you'll have the tools to keep writing on your own.
Copyright remains entirely the author's. Any contribution made to the story during the mentorship belongs exclusively to the author of the project.
Working in English
A screenplay isn't literature, it's structure, character, the turn of a scene, the truth beneath a line of dialogue. That craft lives beneath language, and it's exactly the layer we work on. We can develop your script in English and let it return to German for the final draft. The story loses nothing, on the contrary. English forces you to be economical, to stop hiding in "poetics," to sharpen your vision, because you have fewer tools to disperse it. I know this well: I've never written a script in my mother tongue.
What we're shaping was never the words on the page, but the characters, their actions, their decisions. Working in English keeps your project entirely yours, and opens it, when you want, beyond the German-speaking market.
How it works
Before each session : You send me your pages 5 days ahead. I analyse them, prepare my feedback and the working material for our meeting.
During the session : Detailed feedback, scene by scene, on what works and what can be stronger. Concrete ideas to solve the story's problems. And tools to sharpen your craft and unblock the writing.
Between sessions : Targeted exercises for your project's needs: characters, world, films to watch, books to read.
At the end of each session : A clear direction for how to move forward before we next meet: what to write, what to aim for. In truth, all you have to do is write.

Who I am
I'm a screenwriter based in Lausanne. I hold a Master's in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California (USC, with honors), I write in French, English and Spanish, and I mentor writer-directors and screenwriters.
Among my films and series: La Mémoire des autres (Best Screenplay, FIFF Portugal), Giochi d'estate (Swiss Film Prize / Quartz, Best Screenplay), ANOMALIA (8×45′, RTS / Play Suisse) and FAITH (6×52′, in development with Contrast Films, Akka Films and RTS).
Member of the European Film Academy (EFA), the Swiss Film Academy, the ARF and the SSA. And a member of the Cinéforom funding commission since 2011, which means I've also sat on the other side of the table, where funding decisions are made.
What draws me to mentoring is the wish to help fellow professionals get their film made, to offer a safe space where their project can find its strongest form, without losing their voice.
